It has Kedarnath and madmaheshwar temples on the left and rudranath and kalpeshwar temples on the right and above the tungnath temple is situated. 240 species of birds are found in chopta like Himalayan monal, Himalayan swiftlet, Himalayan griffon, and scarlet finch. Chopta has been declared a major and important bird-watching site by the national and international conservancy.
